Members of the Circle come from a wide range of experiences and a variety of backgrounds. From beginners to well-published and established authors we meet together to encourage and support one another in a helpful and friendly atmosphere. Colin Dexter, creator of Inspector Morse stories and television series.
Elizabeth Lord writes mostly family sagas, set in the East End of London where she was born. She began her writing career with short stories published in various magazines during the 1970s.
Paul C. Doherty OBE is an award- winning English author, educator, lecturer and historian.
Jean Fullerton loves London and the East End, which is why she writes stories set in the 18th and 19th century to bring that vibrant area of London alive.
Peter Jones is the author of 'two and a half'  popular self-help books on the subjects of happiness, dieting and online dating.

Brentwood Writers' Circle's International Writing Competition Theme: 100 Years Ahead Closing date is 30th July 2019 There is an appropriate £100.00 in prize money: First prize £50.00, Second prize £30.00, third prize £20.00. What you choose to predict is up to you - just persuade the judges of its likelihood and make sure it is in exactly 100 words (minus the title) in either fiction or non-fiction. Entrants should provide their full postal address and telephone number, as well as their email address. The entry fee is £3.00 - see below. If paying by chequeue make payable to Brentwood Writers Circle.
